The '90s minimalist
If there is one style I know I will never get over with is the ’90s minimalism, with its paired-back vibe and overall versatility.
In the ’90s, minimalistic style was a manifesto of simplicity that made a statement. This philosophy has stood the test of time, transcending decades to find its place in contemporary wardrobes. I, for one, am a huge fan of the ’90s minimalist.
What’s truly remarkable about it is its adaptability; it can be as bold or understated as you want it to be. The key lies in the details and how each piece contributes to the overall outfit. Whether it’s a fitted jersey top paired with a sleek leather jacket and straight-leg jeans, or a knitted vest juxtaposed with relaxed tailored trousers and a simple chain necklace, these combinations can easily elevate your look from casual to chic.
Another big point in favour of the ’90s minimalistic style is the use of neutral colours. This season, I’m embracing faded greys, browns, and, of course, classic black and white, and this style serves this purpose perfectly. Monochromatic ensembles in these muted earthy tones create a clean and sophisticated look. The focus is on the texture, quality, and silhouette of the clothing, radiating confidence through its simplicity.
I found so much inspiration in the wide range of available products that, in this instance, I allowed myself to create a slightly broader product selection. I hope this selection will inspire you too.
